Setup & Installation Guide
The Kill Mod is a crucial add-on for Battle Bot gameplay and is designed to be mounted on vehicles with a 3x2 configuration.
📌 Purpose of the Mod:
✔ To send hit detection signals to the Control Tower when the vehicle is struck by an opponent.
✔ To allow hit tracking and damage management through a custom software system that calculates “life loss” in the game.
📦 Components Included
The Kill Mod consists of the following parts:
✔ TPU Target (Shock Pad) – the component that absorbs hits from other bots.
✔ Terminal Switch Base – holds the limit switches in place.
✔ Base Connector – attaches the base to the Rover chassis.
✔ Limit Switch with Wiring – detects hits and sends data to the Control Tower.
🛑 Important:
📌 The Kill Mod components are mirrored—meaning they can be used on both the left and right sides of the vehicle.
⚙ Assembly Process
🔹 Step 1: Remove the screws from the rear wheel assembly of the Rover.
🔹 Step 2: Secure the Terminal Switch Base onto the frame of the vehicle.
🔹 Step 3: Attach the Base Connectors to the Rover chassis using screws.
🔹 Step 4: Mount the TPU Target onto the Base Connector and tighten it securely.
🔹 Step 5: Connect the wiring from the Limit Switches to the Control Tower of the Rover.
🔹 Step 6: Upload the new software to the Control Tower, so the system can register hits and apply game logic accordingly.
📌 Key Features & Functions
✔ Code Update Required:
When installing the Kill Mod, a new firmware update must be uploaded to the Control Tower, ensuring proper hit detection and battle mechanics.
✔ Damage & Hit Management System:
The Rover software can track how many hits a vehicle has taken and activate different game mechanics such as:
🔄 Returning to the “home base” for regeneration after taking a hit.
🛡 Temporary invincibility after regeneration to prevent instant knockouts.
🎯 Kill zones & scoring system to record and reward successful hits.
