🛠️ Start assembling!
🔹 1. Organization
🛠️ First, gather all the necessary parts and tools before starting!
✅ Required tools:
- Allen key (included in the kit)
- Inserts (if they weren’t pre-installed, you’ll need to place them using a soldering iron)
- Soldering iron (if needed for the inserts)
💡 TIP: Never start without organizing your workspace first! Searching for tools mid-assembly is frustrating and wastes time! 😅
🔥 2. Placing the Inserts
📌 If your inserts are already installed, skip this step.
If not, follow these instructions:
🔸 Heat up the soldering iron to 250°C
🔸 Place the insert against the soldering iron tip and gently push it into the plastic
🔸 The plastic will melt locally, allowing the insert to slide in smoothly
🔸 Remove the soldering iron, twisting it slightly counterclockwise
🔸 Done! 🎉
⚠️ Caution: If the insert sticks to the soldering iron, use pliers to push it into place!
🤕 If you're new to soldering, ask for help! The worst that can happen? You’ll learn how burnt skin smells! 🔥😵💨
🔹 3. Screwing the USB Hub Together
📦 Now, let’s give the USB Hub its shape!
🔧 Steps:
1️⃣ Take the top and bottom cover
2️⃣ Place the USB board in between
3️⃣ Screw in the two back screws
💡 TIP: We don’t screw all four corners! The front part stays open for a cleaner design. Instead of screws, the feet will keep it in place! 😉
🔹 4. Attaching the Feet
📌 Now, let’s attach and screw in the four feet to the body!
🔩 Make sure they are properly secured for stability & durability!
🔹 5. Connecting & Testing
✅ Now, the moment of truth!
🔌 Connect the USB Hub to power
🧐 Use a USB Tester to check voltage & current output
