4. Start Designing
The fourth step is transitioning from your idea to a design. In our case, we’ll use Fusion 360, a tool that allows you to create 3D designs that can be translated into machine code.

These machines are extensions of your hands and mind. Thankfully, you don’t need to write G-code line by line anymore—software does this for you.
6. Operating the Machine and Producing the Prototype
The final stage involves operating the machine and completing your prototype:
- Load the G-code into the 3D printer or CNC machine.
- Prepare the materials and adjust the machine’s settings.
- Start the production process and monitor it.
