🏭 Selecting the 3D Printer & Print Bed
After importing the object into the slicer, the next step is to position it correctly on the print bed.
📌 Before placing the object, we must first select the correct 3D printer!
🔹 Selecting the 3D Printer
✅ From the left menu, select the printer you will be using.
✅ If the printer does not appear, add it manually.
🔹 Selecting the Print Bed
🔹 Each 3D printer has a different type of print bed.
🔹 The print bed type affects the first layer of the print.
✅ Once we select the correct machine, the print bed in the slicer will update to reflect the actual print surface of our printer.
⚠️ Pay attention to the print bed details!
🔸 Some print beds have lines or restricted areas where objects cannot be placed.
🔸 Avoid placing parts too close to the edges, as temperature differences may cause the print to detach.
🔹 Selecting the Nozzle (Print Head Size)
🔸 This is where we choose the nozzle diameter for printing.
🔸 If we have a different nozzle on the same machine, we select it separately from the "3D Printer" menu.
👉 This is important! The nozzle size affects both print quality and speed.
🔹 3D Printer Settings
🔹 To the right of the 3D Printer menu, there is a small square button with a line (⚙️ Edit).
🔹 Clicking it opens the printer settings window.
⚠️ Warning! These settings are for advanced users. If you are unsure, do not change anything yet—leave them as they are and revisit them later!
🎯 Final Thoughts
✅ Make sure you have selected the correct printer & print bed before proceeding!
✅ Avoid changing advanced settings if you are not sure what they do!
🚀 Now we’re ready to position the object on the print bed!
